Terms & Conditions

Welcome to QuickTap - a new way to pay - brought to you by Coca-Cola Amatil. Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they set out the basis on which we will provide services to you on a prepay basis. By using the services you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

We may change these terms and conditions from time to time. If we do this we will publish the amended terms and conditions on www.quicktap.co.nz. Please check www.quicktap.co.nz regularly as continuing to use the services after changes have been published will mean that you agree to these terms and conditions as amended.

1. Interpretation:

Activation means the successful activation by you of your Card or App (where applicable) and completion of the set-up process for your QuickTap Account (and Activate is construed accordingly).

Agent means any third party appointed by us to perform any of our obligations under these terms and conditions.

App means the mobile phone application published by us that you have downloaded and registered against your QuickTap Account.

Card means a prepayment card issued by us bearing the QuickTap logo.

Coca-Cola Amatil, we or us means Coca-Cola Amatil (N.Z.) Limited (Company No. 46860) of Auckland, New Zealand and our has a corresponding meaning.

Credit means the monetary credit loaded into your QuickTap Account by a Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card payment, or through your PayPal account.

Payment means loading Credit onto your QuickTap Account by any means made available by us.

Privacy Policy means the privacy policy published on http://ccamatil.co.nz/privacy-policy/ and http://www.paymentexpress.com/about/about_paymentexpress/privacy_policy.html.

Product(s) means any beverage or snack product we make available for sale via a Vending Machine.

QuickTap is Coca-Cola Amatil software that lets you interact with vending machines using contactless and/or wireless technologies.

QuickTap Account means your account with us where your Credit is stored, and from where our charges to you for the cost of the Products bought by you from Vending Machines are deducted.

Vending Machine means a beverage or snack self-service vending machines owned by us.

2. Activation:

2.1 You will need to Activate your QuickTap Account by completing the account set-up process on this website or via the App.

2.2 Following Activation of your QuickTap Account:

If you have already received a Card, you will need to Activate the Card on this website before you can start using the Card; or
If you have not received a Card, you can request a Card on this website, which will be sent to your nominated address. When this Card is received, you will need to Activate the Card on this website before you can start using the Card.

3. Payments to your QuickTap Account:

3.1 All Payments to your QuickTap Account remain available to buy Products from the Vending Machines until your QuickTap Account is closed.

3.2 You can load Credit, of selected amounts, to your QuickTap Account by using a credit card or debit card or any other payment methods made available by us.

3.3 By completing the prepayment process and clicking "Top Up Now", you authorise us to debit the Credit (including any stated additional charges) from your nominated debit or credit card using a secure payment gateway.

3.4 If your transaction is declined by the merchant of your Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card, the Credit will not be loaded to your QuickTap Account.

3.5 You acknowledge and agree that CCA does not hold any Credit on deposit or on trust and no interest or other earnings will be earned by you or paid to you in respect of monetary amounts credited to your QuickTap Account.

3.6 All transactions will be completed in NZ dollars.

3.7 All transactions will appear on your statement with the name CC AMATIL (NZ) Ltd.

4. Buying Products from Vending Machines:

4.1 You can only use your Card or App at any Vending Machine bearing the QuickTap logo.

4.2 You will only be able to use your Card or App to buy Products from a Vending Machine if there is a credit balance in your QuickTap Account and your Card or App has not been cancelled or blocked for any reason.

4.3 Not all Vending Machines offer the QuickTap functionality. You will need to use cash or credit/debit cards at these Vending Machines.

4.4 If you buy a Product from a Vending Machine using your Card or App, an amount corresponding to the purchase price of the Product will be deducted from your QuickTap Account balance.

4.5 The purchase price of the Product will only be deducted from your QuickTap Account balance if the Product is vended successfully.

4.6 You can obtain an electronic record of your Card and/or App transactions from this website.

5. Lost Cards and Phones, and Replacement Cards:

5.1 You can suspend your QuickTap Account to prevent charges being accrued against your QuickTap Account by using the Suspend Account feature on this website. This feature will block activity on all your Cards and Apps.

5.2 You can deactivate a single Card or App to prevent charges being accrued against your QuickTap Account via that Card or App using the My QuickTaps page on this website.

5.3 If your Card is, or becomes, faulty or has been lost or stolen, you may, subject to this clause, order a replacement Card from us at a cost to you. Please note that if your Card is lost or stolen, we will only provide you with a replacement Card if we are satisfied that you are the owner of the original Card. A replacement Card will be of the same value as the unused value remaining on the faulty, lost or stolen Card at the time of replacement.

5.4 If your Card is lost or stolen and used without your permission, you will be liable for all deductions from your QuickTap Account until you suspend your QuickTap Account or deactivate the lost or stolen Card.

5.5 We are not liable for any loss you may suffer as a result of the loss, theft, damage, destruction or unauthorised use of your Card.

6. Closing your QuickTap Account:

6.1 If you have not used your QuickTap Account for 24 months, your QuickTap Account will automatically close and we will own any Credit balance in your QuickTap Account.

6.2 You may close your QuickTap Account at any time but you will lose and we will own any Credit balance in your QuickTap Account.

7. Terminating or Suspending the QuickTap Services:

7.1 Notwithstanding anything else in these terms and conditions, we may terminate the QuickTap services and your QuickTap Account for any reason by giving you 30 or more days prior notice. If we do so, you will be entitled to a refund of any credit balance in your QuickTap Account at the date of termination.

7.2 We may terminate your QuickTap Account immediately without notifying you if we suspect you of using your QuickTap Account for unlawful purposes or committing, or attempting to commit, a fraud in relation to your QuickTap Account. If we terminate your QuickTap Account you will lose and we will own any Credit balance in your QuickTap Account.

8. Privacy:

8.1 CCA collects information about you and your use of the Card or App, including but not limited to the Products purchased by you using the Card or App, the Vending Machines at which you purchase Products using the Card or App, your QuickTap Account activity, and any personal information that you submit for the purpose of Activating or otherwise using the Card or App.

8.2 The information collected by CCA may be used by CCA or its Agents to:

Contact you with information regarding QuickTap, the Card, App or products or services of CCA
Monitor your use of the Card, App and your QuickTap Account
Customise any marketing messages sent to you by CCA

CCA may also use the information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

8.3 You consent to receiving messages about QuickTap, electronic or otherwise, about (among other things) our rewards, special offers, competitions and information about your account activity (for example confirmation of Top Up). You may unsubscribe from receiving QuickTap promotions by clicking the unsubscribe link in the electronic messages.

8.4 As detailed in our Privacy Policy, you agree that we and our Agents may send you marketing messages, electronic or otherwise, about (among other things) our rewards, special offers, competitions and other promotions, and those of our Agents or third parties which we consider may be of interest to you. You may unsubscribe from receiving marketing messages from us and our Agents at any time by sending an email to Coca-Cola Amatil in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

8.5 You may seek access to and the correction of your information at any time in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

9. Card Ownership: Any Card we issue to you or which otherwise comes into your possession remains our property. You must return it to us in good condition if requested by us, and we reserve the right to charge you a reasonable fee if you fail to do so.

10. New Zealand Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand and you submit to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
